Rolling Ball Sculpture #85 - Watch Video

This sculpture is one of three large sculptures which I have built and then installed into the Jacobs Medical Center in San Diego. The sculptures are located on the 10th floor in the playroom as you exit the elevators. This sculpture uses a 35mm ball and has six main track paths. Components include a Ferris wheel,tipping arms, serpentine loops, balls on track and various mechanisms which you the user can control. There are light sensors which activate switches or gates. The ball will then continue on its journey. This sculpture measures 6' 8" tall, 18" deep and 8' wide and has been powder coated in steel pearl.
